Is 150 hours low for a Teac A3440?

Hi Analogonians...

I just won an auction for a nice Teac A3440 that was described as in excellent condition with very little head wear, but was just curious to know whether 150 hours is low for a tape machine as i have had very little experience with them.

Any info would be truly welcomed.

It's relatively low, considering the age of the deck, and would logically coincide with the statement, "little head wear". These machines have no hour counter, so any estimate would be,... an estimate.

150 hours is pretty low, though.

The guy says he had it from new, so i think i've found a good one here.
He says it's in excellent condition.
Looking forward to hooking it up with my MTR mixer i just got recently (superbly built, don't make em like that anymore..)!!
