Allright Note the exclamation mark so hopefully that would have gotten your attention, I mean look how yellow it is :)

Anyway I got my ipod back and I have come to the conclusion that I'm going to sell it and get a 20gig Iriver.

PROBLEM! When I got my Ipod I put all my cd's on the house computer and then kind of um...misstreated them (alot of scratches) I also have no way of getting the songs from Itunes onto my room's computer.

So I'm stuck with 4 gigs of songs that I can't cheaply replace on a celron based unit. (And this scares me) I would like to get them onto my computer.

Anyone know how?

Thanks.

...No really thanks.

Buy one of those removable hard-drive, disk, key things (you know, it looks like a stick with a USB connection on one end)...get the largest size you can find...the bigger the better since music takes up a lot of space...it's going to cost you for the larger drive, but it will be far less than replacing all of your songs.

Ok, so transfer all of the songs from your house computer onto the disk, run up to your room, and upload them onto that computer...you'll probably have to make a few trips, depending on how many songs you have.

You can also use your iPod to transfer your music library to another computer. Take a look at the iPod support page on the Apple website...

Can't be done Ipod had disabled this feature the only way that I can see is to use disks and that's going to take me a long time to do.

Can't use a flash stick for the same reason.

the i pod is also a hard drive.

find your music folder (harder said than done on a pc)
copy all songs onto i pod as if they were data, folder and all.
end of problem.

don't use i tunes for the transfer.

Go to ipodding.com or a similar site. They have utilities for getting the music files off of your iPod. They work.
