Hi, this is the first song I've recorded and would like some help and opinions if you's can.

I have to put some other instruments on and the vocals are not on there yet.

If you can give me your verdict on what I've done so far I'd be grateful. If you don't like something and have an idea of what to do to change it for the better that would be really what I'm after. I've never done this before so I'm winging it a bit.

I like the kind of music that is quiet loud(Nirvana as an example) so I wouldn't mind advice in heading towards that direction, at least on this song and to begin with.

Anything else you can think of would be great also.

First thing I notice is that the guitars sound pretty mid forward. it's turning the mix into mud city. Cutting at 200Hz is a good place to start for getting out the mud. High pass filters as well on the instruments that don't need to go way low. Performances, timing, etc. all sound good to me. Just needs a little work to clear up the mix. At least that's what my monitors are telling me.
 
Thanks guitar zero, that's just the kind of advice I'm looking for. It's a bit late now but I'm definately going to try the cut around 200Hz tomorrow. These are the things I have no experiance of at the moment. Really appreciate it, cheers :-)
