I am another limey, smack in the middle of the country. What have you got? I mean in terms of AI, mics, instruments, monitors, room (and is it treated?)? What sort of music do you like/do/want to do?
Hi Dave in terms of hardware I have lots of synths and modules etc I'll post some photos when I'm home tomorrow. I love deep house (classic house) music. Right now I'm in to Ambient Space kind of music. I do sound design for various hardware and software developers the last 15yrs or so too (Waldorf, U-HE etc) haven't had much time to use my hardware lately due to deadlines with sound design projects. I use Apple Logic X and Ableton Live
