I used to have a station running on LIVE 365 when it was free to run a stream through their servers but I liked SHOUTCAST better, its a mp3 streaming system that works off of winamp, with proper plugins you can also do live stuff.
Its kinda basic, no charge (but don't quote me on the no charge thing since I have not brodcasted a stream in a little over a year now) once you get setup and ready to transmit your playlist or live brodcast a link will be sent to www.shoutcast.com for anyone surfing to click into. But its also possible to tunnel your stream from shoutcast to live 365 and radio spy at the same time.

I had some problems getting started though, network settings etc, but once I was on it was great fun.

Go to the link below and it should give you some info on how to get started, when you do get your stream up and going post the link on this thread :)

Doesn't Sonic Foundry have a program (I think it's Stream Anywhere) that will enable you to do that.... also, you could use Real Producer.

I do a live broadcast on Saturday nights from 11p til 5a CST. from my club, Betty's Blue Star Lounge.

I'll post the site. You can ask the people running the site how they do it.

hey,

thenks everybody for ya feedback - those 2 sites were pretty good and thanks for the link spin I'm gonna check it out --- I wasn't aware that sonic foundry made a product, but I'm gonna check into it

yo! cwad madmon.....whats up bruh!!!! yeah internet radio is dead but I got this feelin that its gonna come on strong over the next decade as the information age pushes ahead......I see the internet being put in automobile radios....this way you do not have to have only the sucky radio stations in your area that have 1000 commercials an hour....

Think about it.....any station....anywhere.....and its not controlled by paid off programing directors ( yet anyway )

Internet radio is dead?

Where are you getting your numbers?

Statistically, listenership on the internet is up 2000% from last year!
