I was on Weezer's band site, and they've updated their gear info list. (FYI, they have an incredible website and should be what ALL band websites are like) -

Apparently, during the tour this summer (a low key money losing promotional tour) - they decided to save money and space and go all POD PRO and BASS POD gear. Instead of micing cabs, they just ran them offstage where a guitar tech tweaked and ran audio out to the board. (Of course, the guys still have their pedal boards and I see at least one 4 switch for the pods) - apparently it took a lot to sell the guys on the idea, but once they tried it, they were in.

Actually, I would suspect a live environment is where this stuff would really shine. Apparently they also went with ear monitors (again, compact gear) - to eliminate feedback and get a more consistant mix.

Look under "extras - equipment history" for a cool rundown of guitar gear and stuff - www.weezer.com

I've had a couple of very experienced bass players play through my Bass POD and 350-watt PA (Toa) and they were blown away. If I was playing live I would probably buy the Bass POD Pro, only because the power cord on the cheaper model is so flimsy and it could easily be damaged. Line 6 should really beef up the quality of their power supplies and cords.

I noticed the guy in Weezer uses the SVT model on the Bass POD, it's definitely one of the best models in there. The Acoustic 360 might be my favorite.
