one to many, are we talkin' bruskies or smoke?

I know what sams on!:DI guess you're on the liquid buzz tonight eh;)

I wouldnt mind drinkin a Budweiser about now.ahhhhh but one turns into 12 for me so I have to stay away from the stuff!:D

WOW, sorry for the double post bit sammy that was cool. I could picture in my mind the jap. art of magic going on there. Reallly good stuff.

Damn.Thats has to be the most in your face mix I've heard you do.The guitars are like a friggin wall of sound. What drums did you play on the main part of the song?

Fuck!!!!It just ended with the most obnoxious sound known to modern man!!!!I cant count the times I've laid down at 2 am after being a dumb ass and hitting the bars only to sleep 4 hours with that sound going off at 6 am to piss me off!!

ok,Im over the shock of that horrible sound now. This song shoud be called rude awakening.Thats what the fuck that sound is.:D

This is probably my favorite of yours so far sam,no shit. The mix is solid as a rock and it ROCKS.How many rhythm guitars do you have going on?

I liked the little dialing up and down the radio dial at the beginning.I caught the eagles.;)

Cool tune and a keeper for me.I'll have to turn my buddies onto this one.My best friend can smoke a doobie and get lost in this one:D

cool!

thanks Krame
The drum module was a Roland TD-8 hooked up to some non-v-drum pads.. It would probably be a lot better with V-pads... There was 2 rhythm guitars, whammy pedal, E-Bow, Wah pedal, keys.. I used different processors for the rhythm and leads.. Sansamp Gt-2, Pod Pro, Blue Max compressor, BBE Sonic Maximizer.. The guitar was tuned to drop C#.. Yeah that end goes through me like a knife too!! :D I can't tell you why I put it there.. I shreek when I hear that awful sound  thanks for the ears!

Flash - I'm going to check out your tune shortly.. thanks!

I like it like it is. Cool movie.
Segue into a live scene is killer. Radio bits are cool rests. Lead maybe one public hair too much but that's nitpicking.
Drums are solid, sound great. Are they panned a little right? Threw me off at first but then made sense.
Key pads lay in just right.
Very cool sonic landscape.

Mark

I just now read your post...no keys? Had me fooled!
Now I just re-read it and saw the word keys.
It's getting late.

wow..........

............that's cool. I've got to agree with Kramer .....I think this is my favorite song of yours as well. Excellent playing both on drums and guitars.....and a very good mix. And the ending?...................shit! Time to get up! :D
I'm impressed with this one man. One question.....exactly what strings tune to what in drop c# tuning?

..........bummer man, I couldnt get it. Im getting some kind of soundcard error flag........ mmmmmmmm....... I'll give it another shot tommorrow. g

I have to agree.

OK it's about 5:30 AM and I have to leave for fishing soon, but I had to hear this.

Damn, it was buffering very poorly, and it's downloading at about 8K...I gotta go but I'll give it a listen tomorrow. Sorry man.

I stuck it out. Dude this is sweet...I think you get the best guitar sound on this board! Very tight performance too...Impressive stuff. The change at 2:48 has a nice synth pad.
Sorry I don't know what to say, I'm in awe at this guitar sound...
I'll try to be more critical later, but this just rox. Very creative...

HAHA...Funny thing is...I just turned my alarm off 10 minutes ago....BASTARD! You got me....

Sami, I swear I did a CD for a band I used to be in a couple of years ago and it starts the same way with me running through the radio dial and then the tune starts. Very nice. I have to second, you do get the best tone on guitar than any I've heard here. I can't get my J Station to sound like that.
I do believe I'm going to have to make myself a CD of your tunes so I can listen in the truck. Great job bro.:D

Cool tune- Nice to hear some good electronic drums-they sound good and they change appropiately with the songs changes. Whoa nice change of gears around the 3:30 mark-uuugh alarm clock lol. I cant comment on your mix cause I had to stream this on low fi(even on dsl,no d/l option for this tune :( ). Overall nice interesting chord progressions-good guitar sounds and playing-sorry no critique to be had here....So you gonna add vocals to this? Nice job (as usual).

anyone having streaming problems?

Has anyone been having a problem streaming tunes at Nowhere? I'm sure Waldo will appear shortly, but it's seems to stutter A LOT.. the streaming is unlistenable because of all the skipping.. Waldo, if your reading this, can Nowhere not take the quality of VBR? I'm trying to stream it with the same player I encoded it with so I know that's not it. thanks if your out there..

mkg - thanks.. I didn't think the drums were panned right, but I might have panned the bass drum a bit right and the snare a bit left.. the guitar sounds like keys sometimes, and the keys sound like a guitar in spots. :D

Lt. Bob - hey man.. The tuning for 'this' tune went like this.. C#, G#, C#, F#, A# D#. It makes it a bit easier to play some things.. There's also a tone that you just can't get with standard tuning.. Sometimes I go as low as tuning the top string to drop A. You need at least 10's on your guitar for it to work.. I usually use 11's or 12's.. My guitar has caked on dirt all over the fret board and I never change strings unless they break.. I am constantly making minor intonation adjustments because all my guitars are cheap.. The pickups I put in them are sometimes worth more then the whole guitar itself.. check Track Rat's response... I layed out the chain.. BTW, the guitar was a 'Hamer telecaster' with a hot rail pickup.. thanks Lt! :D

Guernica - I'm having problems with the streaming too.. I don't know what the deal is, but it's unlistenable when streamed.. I'm gonna be making my own website soon.. :) thanks for trying..

chessrock - thanks for checking it out man!

SLuiCe - ha! :D Yeah that alarm sound at the end is awful for me to listen too as well.. This is what I might have been thinking.. That end part has the crowd noises, so it's like pretending to be playing live at a stadium, and then the alarm wakes me up to remind me to stop day dreaming and get to work! :D thanks my man.

Track Rat - Yeah I think I have heard that idea used before, but it seemed silly enough to go for it. :D No J-Station on this one..
I did something strange for the rhythm.. It went guitar, Sansamp, and then into the Pod Pro just for cabinet emulation.. I used the distortion from the Sansamp, and the cabinet emulation from the Pod Pro.. then I sent that into the Blue Max compressor, and then into a BBE Sonic Maximizer.. I'm always experimenting and this one seems to sound halfway decent.. I did this on a few other tunes and it didnt work out as good, but I think I have things tweaked to death now... thanks Track!

Stratomaster - I enabled the all member download if you want to check it out.. I know how lo-fi sounds.. I wasn't sure about vocals, and then I started adding more and more extras and just got used to hearing it without vocals... Maybe it could use some.. thanks for checking it out man.. Check out SLuiCe's reply for an explanation about the alarm sound.. :D

Thanks again dudes!

Has anyone been succesful streaming this in hi-fi? It won't work for me.. It skips to the point that it's unlistenable.. Always in the same parts too!!

-EDIT- I just put up a 128kbps version and it plays fine.. I think the VBR sound quality is too much and too big, that Nowhere starts to bug out.. The 128 file is much smaller but definitely don't sound as good..

The drum kit is good and mixed nicely. My only complain is the snare. It's good, but it sound like it's prematurely ending a bit. Like it needs a tiny bit more tail. Not much, but you might want to look into it. The guitar tone is very good and there's some interesting stuff going on the whole time. The bass tone is also great. It just simply has balls. A lot.

The song didn't grasp my attention on the first listen that much. The radio theme seems weird on first listen. Like you kinda had two songs going there. I'm not sure if the second one fits at all. Maybe it was just thrown in there for the hell of it.

Ok, now listening for the second time. Let's see. Yup, the guitar tone is still great :D The solo in the beginning really has your name written in it. I guess the solo tone does it. Or is that a guitar anyways? Sound processed anyways. The mood of the song is very you. The snare didn't bother as much on the second listen. It did grow on me a bit, I guess. The actual song is still hard to grasp. I'm still figuring out where the song is going. Maybe it needs vocals or some little thing for it to rise to your level, because the song sounds like it's waiting for something to happen, which doesn't. It's almost like a long intro. I dunno. The themes are good but it doesn't seem to travel anywhere, you know. I hope I'm not being harsh, because I really like the individual ideas in this song. I just think it needs more of some of your wicked ideas, a cherry on top, if you like :D

-EDIT-

Oh, I couldn't stream it either. I downloaded it.
