instruction manual for the 488?

I bought a 488 off ebay, but alas without a manual. I've been trying to get the bugger to work but with little success. Either I've been sold a dud, or I really need to get hold of a users manual. Are any available to download online? Otherwise does anyone know anywhere in London that might stock them?

Do you have a fax machine? I have the manual for the 488 Mk-II, if that will help. I can send it to you.
