Oh hell. Which of my devices has crapped out on the right channel? Muted highs and lows on that side. Reversing the channels and speaker cables has no effect. Two hours of troubleshooting and I gave up for the night in disgust. But this morning the answer came to me!
Solution: 1. Go to Walgreens corner drugstore. 2. Buy ear syringe. 3. It's better not to look in the sink afterward. 4. Redeem stupidity by confessing on HR-BBS for the sake of others.
This is a really cheap way to dramatically improve definition, silkiness, and warmth in every piece of gear you own.
