I've been playing with instrument definition files in Sonar2. Two problems:
1) With an SY77 (yes it's old, so am I, I love it!!) I can get it to patch change, but it does not select the bank correctly (if I manually set it to internal or whatever, it calls up the correct patch) In Instrument definitions, the bank change method is "normal".... what is the correct bank change method?
Also with the SY, I have a data card installed, what bank number would I use to have Sonar call up the Card bank? 22 is internal, 18 and 20 are the two Rom Banks, 17 is given for both Drum banks. (if I could get bank select to work, I could experiment a bit to try and figure out if you can bank select the card... but if anybody knows........)
2) The XV definitions in Sonar (on my XV which has the updated os) only selects the proper patch and only on channel 1. It ignors all other channels and ignores performance or rhthm selection.
As an aside, I would like to install some of the Rom board definitions which I have downloaded, but would also need the correct bank numbers....
