inputs on an effects processor (T.C. M300)

So i have an MPC2000XL, with the 8-outputs (to a mixing console), and for effects i went and got T.C's M300.....now, i see that the M300 has two inputs (L/R), which means i cant really add effects to more than one or 2 tracks at a time, and i would like the option of adding effects to more than one track at a time on a recording.....are there machines with many outputs?? are there ways of using ones with only 1/2 outputs in a creative way so that you can get effects on multiple tracks of the recording?? i mean i guess i could record 1 track at a time or something like that, but is that the only way? and if so, what would be the best way to do that? would i lose sound quality? how about for a final/master mix?
 
So dude, did you not get a manual with your M300? You can set the M300 up so that the left input comes from say, Aux 1 of your mixer and the right input comes from Aux 2. The left output of the M300 sends out one effect and the right output sends out the other. The output knob determines the mix between the reverb return and the effects return. This info would be found on page 23. If you didn't get the manual, you can download it from the TC Electronics site. Do you have a mixer yet?

yea i have a mixer
and i have the manual

so what your saying is that if i connect it the way they say in the manual (i saw that), i will be able to have different effect settings for separate tracks on the board at the same time? meaning i can set effects on this one instrument, compress my snare drum and then give this other sound some delay all at once?

Sorry, I guess I misunderstood your question.

You will not be able to have different effects on everything. That requires an fx processor with multiple i/o and processors. They do exist but they are not cheap.

With the M300 you can have 2 completely seperate mono input effects in use or one stereo input effect using both processors. I believe that is the case from what I have read up on it.

That is why studios have so many processors and why people love plugins if they want to use a lot of different effects.
 
What you can do is send Aux 1 to Input L(1) and Aux 2 to Input R(2). Then have the outputs of the M300 go into 2 effects returns or open channels on the mixer. Make sure the M300 it is in Parallel mode.

That will give you 2 seperate independant effects.
