Sounds great on headphones. Very beginning, the acoustic sounds wayyy far in the background, but maybe it's supposed to be like this.

Yeah, it was kind of supposed to be. I guess I could bring it up some. It's actually a clean electric. =]Sounds great on headphones. Very beginning, the acoustic sounds wayyy far in the background, but maybe it's supposed to be like this.

The rest of the song? well.. writing isn't always the easiest thing for me. So, I'm not finished. I wish I could just write it all really easily. But.. it's a work in progress. I just started writing this last night, and started recording it tonight. I'm trying to be careful so I don't lose it (get off the train of thought that I'm on lyrically).
Most of my songs I don't finish, because I hit a wall lyrically.
This is probably the best-sounding clip I've ever produced.

Just a wild shot- The intro part, and snare are forward relative the vocal coming in. Maybe lay out on the snare for the first vocal section (or two- don't know where it goes from there..

Wow - I liked it right away... it's the melody on the vocals that caught me I think. A cool tune... Mix wise it sounds pretty good. The comment about the intro drums makes sense. They seem loud because there's not much at first, but when the whole thing gets going they sit well. Now go add some more or post the whole song....lol....

Yeah (err.. no), Lay out- that meant hold off on the snare there if it is going to pull focous away from the vocals that had just come in which was a rather mellow drop-down in intensity from the intro. I.e. if the intensity is to come down from the intro, the snare should (could

Sounds really good to me. Keep going! Just my two cents, but have you tried going to a side stick on the snare for the more mellow parts?

i think this is an excellent song. i don't really think the snare is too bad. i think it would benefit from having a softer hit during the verses though. can't say anything bad about this one.
