Hey guys,

I recently purchased the E-MU 0404 USB audio interface, and installed the Cubase LE 4 version that came with it (I run the program on a Mac). I'm having some (serious) problems with the software, however, because although the E-MU soundcard shows up in the VST connections drop- down menu (and the menu where you chose which input/output should be active), it's locked/stuck on "not connected". The outputs are working fine.

I have tried everything I can think of - updating the software, downloading patches, restarting etc - but it just won't work. Does anybody recognize this problem? I really need help!

Thanks!

I think screenshots will help a lot. Can you post some?

The EMU Patchmix software is not the most intuitive, either. Make sure you've got your inputs assigned properly there; like maybe insert a 'Send to ASIO 1/2' on one of the channels strips. Then look for ASIO 1/2 in the Cubase Device Setup and VST Connections.

Then when you create a track in Cubase, assign the channel to the track. Whew, they don't make it easy.

Dear Pirate,

I have no idea what "Patchmix" is- It was not included on any of the software CDs I got with the Interface, and it is only mentioned very briefly in the user's manual. Also, when googling, I can only find Patchmix for windows. You wouldn't happen to have a link to a Mac download for this program? Thanks!
