input output routing...please help

I need some help please.
cubase 5 with firestudio mobile.
Do i need to install studio one as well to run with cubase 5
I am getting an input to the mixer signal but not to the track selected.
why why why.. have set up as per the book.

No, you don't need studio one.

Also, you need to click the monitor button to see a level on a track.
