Hi all.
I'm trying to put together a fairly inexpensive recording/mixing set up in my shop/gallery. This would be mainly 4 to 6 person live recording so I'm thinking about a 24 channel mixer and as many converter I/O's. I've been using Cubase for several years with a delta 1010 and in the box mixing but my fingers prefer dials to mice. This set up would be mostly for the fun of it so the quality I've gotten from the Delta is just fine. Unfortunately the 1010 blew up in a lightning storm so I'm starting from scratch as far as AD/DA converters.

I could use some suggestions on 24 channel mixers and converters. I haven't researched any of the recording toys in the last couple years so I don't really know where to start. Is firewire the way to go? or maybe 3 Delta 1010's. I don't quite understand the lightpipe thing. I just want 24 channels going from the mixer to the computer and 24 back to the mixer. Trying to stay around $2500 or less. Open to all possibilities.

Thanks.
Dave
