Forget everything i said about this card, I did my first recording wit it last night, AND love it. Who ever thinks about gettin this card, GETTIN! just make sure u got a piece of gear to increase ur Sound output level, CAUSE its not so good, Other then that. INLOVE.
 
I'm really trying to like mine but the patchmix thing is killing all hope of loving this card.

Yea, made me mad at first, i barely got it like 5 dayz ago, it took me 3 dayz to learn how to use it, 8 hours a day, just playin wit it. Its a good card, i like it now, BUT not worth $200. Its alittle cleaner then my audigy 2 platinum and THE effects are ok. u havin problems wit the patchmix??????? what kind??

It's just the fact that I HAVE TO USE IT. I mean I run computer software with a mixer and now i gotta run Patchmix as a mixer before the mixer that i can control with my Tascam. Switching back and forth between the 2 mixers just well....Sucks. I'm not going to even get into the Patchmix interface. I'm no engineer i'm a producer and would feel better if i could just plug a line into the card and it would work without setting up a session and adjusting a bunch of crap before i can record with the program I'm comfortable with.
 
If all you want are lines that go straight in...just put the ASIO inserts in place on each input...

And it'll stick like that. Reboot after reboot. That's what I do myself. I haven't had to fiddle with Patchmix (other than volume) in months, literally...
