Inherited a lot of classic home-musician gear I know zero about being an engineer.

There's a bunch of TASCAM decks on eBay right now and from the last week or so....the 1/2" tape, 8-track type....
...or do you mean digital recorders or the small "porta-studio" cassette recoders?

I've never got a good working recorder from Ebay. I'm going to wait for an HR member with a solid reputation to offer one up. By "solid reputation", I mean someone who didn't come waltzing in here out of the blue acting like they're doing us a favor and lording shitty old gear that they can't be bothered to describe over us.

Naa, doubt it will ever happen...he gave it all to the "appraiser kid". ;)

I wouldn't send money to this clown anyway. Responding to serious inquiries with corny jokes doesn't exactly inspire buyer confidence.

What a cluck of a thread.
It was almost worth it just to see the word 'mellotron' !

The random discussion in this thread is akin to people standing around out front shooting the breeze while they wait for the music store to open...

Something for which engineers have no time or tolerance.
We are generally paid far too much to be wasting time chewing the fat.

Neither does picking on people for no other reason than one's amusement.
As children, kids like that end up being sent to Manual Arts academies so they can be among their own kind and administered to by people who are paid enough to tolerate that behavior. I however am not.

But we're having fun!
At someone else's expense. Real intelligent, people.

Lets stone him!
Aaaaannnnd once again, they prove that the reports by the guys on the more engineering-related forums are correct.

Have fun home-musicians. Go have fun by yourselves.

Going back to the real engineering forums here.

Bye.

Was it something we said?

Bye!!!!

Don't be a stranger!

You keep tossing that "children" and "pupil and master" crap out there like you expect everyone to kiss your wrinkled old ass. You keep saying you don't have time for this and that, but you seem to find plenty of time to post lengthy, sophomoric diatribes against our brand of humor. Go sell your dusty old prosumer crap to the "real engineers" if you think they'll buy it. Ciao!

Good riddance to the lot of you.
One more confirmation of the behavior on the musician boards gets reported back to the engineering boards.
