they got some mpx500's floating on ebay weekly for ~$250
if you wanna get the cheapest, i think nady and phonic have some for ~$70

What Blue Bear was trying to say is that the lower price Alesis outboard gear (ie. the 3630 compressor, the NanoVerb reverb, etc.) do not have the greatest reputation as quality (or even usable) gear. Since the Ineko falls into the same price range.....

There is nothing wrong with Alesis monitor... Sheesh! People still mix on NS-10's (which I think really bite) but then again monitor choice is SUBJECTIVE...
PS: I also think KRK's suck!

I own a pair of NS-10's. They are only good for checking a mix IMO. I have heard V8 in a few rooms and just don't like the high mid response...
All this being said, I could learn to use BOTH to make good mixes!
THE point I was making IS that I could also learn to make good mixes on Alesis monitors! I'm NOT saying I particuarly love Alesis monitors, but using them to get a good mix is something they are totally capable of, if you know them...
Remember we are talkin' about SUBJECTIVITY!!!!
