In use with another application?

When I try to convert a file from Mp3 to WMA, I keep getting a message saying the file is "probably being used by another application" and the conversion stops, even though I know it's not being used by anything - anyone know what's going on?

It works for me in Cool 2.1.

I use Save As in Edit View. Is that what you're doing?

Yes, either that or 'batch file convert'. It only seems to happen when converting to wma...

I wonder if the WMA codec is being used by some other program?
Do you have a mediaplayer like Winamp running in the taskbar?

No, nothing which would do that. I have such players as WMP, Winamp and Itunes but I ensure all are closed down.

Alot of the time processes on media player apps get hung up. Sometimes you can't even see them running in the processes tab on your task manager. Your best bet is to reboot and try again. Make sure you don't open any of those apps before attempting.
