Cool...nice video. I'm a big fan of the MA-200's...love 'em on drum OH.

I just checked out the video and learned some cool stuff. Thanks for posting.

I once had this lady come in and do a karaoke vocal CD...and one of her songs was "Send in the Clowns"...almost every line ends in an S...anyhow I ran the vocal through a Dbx263a and it tamed every one perfectly.

The condenser mic just off the floor, six feet away was an interesting trick. The finished track sounded good but I thought the hats sounded a little "sloshy". Whether that was the ribbon mic or the brand of cymbals (looked like some specialty brand, not Zildjian's or Sabian's), they sounded bad to me.

They look like Saluda cymbals. They are not my cup o tea. But they are a good alternative. They are cheaper than Paiste, Zildjian, or Sabian's high end lines but not as good sounding to me. But they are better sounding than the big three's budget lines. I am pretty sure they are China made cymbals but reworked (hammered, lathed, chemically treated, etc) in the U.S..
So yeah, the sloshyness you hear might just be the cymbals and not the mic/technique.

I could definatly read Saluda on full screen with my 32" monitor.
