I am on a very tight budget, I wanted to spend about $300 on a drum machine at the most. I deal predominately with hip hop music and was sugested to look at the mc303 or dr5 because of its sequencing capabilities. My setup consists of a Yamaha DJX-1(which doesnt have a sequencer) and a PC. Programs I have are Acid 2.0/SoundForge4.5/CoolEdit Pro/Cakewalk Express(which I dont use)/Protools Free(dont know how to use). Iam looking for a sequencer that quantizes live. Plus I need more drum sounds. I know I am asking for alot for under $300. If anyone can help me it would be deeply appreciated.

Yo Ted of Intense Dimensions:

For a few dollars over 300, you can get the Boss 770 drum box; I have one and it has some fantastic patches, about 400 of them.

Plus, you can program the box. Nice clear sounds.

It seems the Alesis SR16 is cheaper; I have one of those too and I don't use it since I got the Boss. In the long run, borrow a few bucks from you girl friends and get the Boss.

I have a Boss Dr-Groove.. which is loaded with sounds......
It's a DR 220..... has Hip hop, Jungle, Drum n' Bass... and a plethora of other Club style sounds......Even bass lines

I've only used it once... I'll sell it to ya for $300 US If you pay for the shipping.....

What a deal!!!

Let me know......Im trustworthy,,,Hell, I'll even send it to ya before you send the money... I figure, I will get ya sooner or later if you mess with me... I have family in Orlando... *smiles*

Why not use Acid for drums?...or Fruity Loops?.....

Acid mixed with Fruit Loops makes an awesome breakfast.... But what does that have to do with drum machines....:D
