in great need of help with this song please!

I'm looking for advice on this song:

Michael Jermyn - Burn! Your! Lips!

I'm not very good at mixing yet, especially when it comes to reverb and EQ (I don't do enough of either). I'm particularly worried about the vocals. I like having the distortion on them, but it's just not working the way I wanted. I can't get the reverb settings on them right (should I be reverbing before or after distortion?).

Any help/criticism is much appreciated. :-)

(apparently I posted this in the wrong forums the first try, hopefully this is right)

You're in the right place....

Usually you put the reverb after the distortion....

Taking forever to download this song - I've no patience anymore (lol)...oh ok 466Kps file.....

I think there's way too much distortion on the vocals in this mix. If it was a bit less it might be considered an effect, but this much just sounds overdone...

The piano came out really nice on this mix....

The song itself is pretty cool too.....jus don't care for the effect... ;)
 
Thanks for the advice! I changed the link so it will download faster.

If I don't use much distortion, then the lyrics don't pack enough punch, which is partly my own lack of vocal aggression, and partly my inability to make the vocals sit in the mix right. I will try though, and see what happens.
 
I'm bumping this because I really need advice on the vocals. Anybody please? :-)
