Damn good cd...I love the "whatcha gonna say" track. heh. Sounds like Craig David or something.

Anyways, my initial impression (not that this is worth much...not like actually using the mic....but...just wondering if anyone has similar experience with using their stuff)

I like the sound of the C3 the best out of the C1 C3 and T3. To me to T3 sounds a little...too lifeless somehow in comparison. Could just be this voice...these tracks...the singer on "whatcha gonna say" has kind of a high register vocal. But, the C3 seems to accent the bass a little more, makes it seem "fuller" the C3 has a lot of vibrance. But, then I am wondering what might sound better in my mixes overall....only 1 way to answe that question :)

I think the cd is cool though....I like having the Neve on there...though honestly I can't tell a big difference between the Neve tracks and anything else. Amatuer ears.

So, anyone want to stick up for the T3? Becuase my fetish for tubes was leaning me that way originaly.

What is your impression of the compression on the SP Session?

Sorry, ignore me :p

the compression from the session left an impression...but...i will leave that to your discretion for fear of regression.

This is the first time I've really gotten to listen to pre's up close and personal - from what i am hearing that Neve 1089 destroys everything else (esp. on the lead vox only tracks). The Focusrite Red 1 comes pretty close...the joe meek, trident and v72 don't as impressive to me. Of course...not my recordings..not my enviroments etc...so, could be tons of things. But, I wanted a Vintech (neve copy) before..and I sure as hell want one now!

gidge -

its not on there. apparently its just a company cd...

damn, I was out Seussed!

There you go, wes - you've left this Hessian in a state of depression over your recession from his discretion for fear of regression, and all because of your secession from giving an impression of the compression on the SP session!

back to the drawing boards - give me 30 minutes ;)

Only Flubs from Glub can join the club, though Flubbers from Glubber can hide in the rug.

In times of recession Texans look for secession but repression wont allow mention of any new inventions that might drive a Texan insane.

With new mics and pres and speakers and meekers and mixers and masters and demos of cellos there are too many choices for me.

So please stop this insanity of humanity immediately and repeatedly or one crazed Texan this will be.

Monsiuer - your Madness is molded from mic mixes miked on a Mackie - a Mackie mic mix is maxxed in mere milliseconds. This minute maxxing of your Mackie mic mix makes miked Mike mad. And we all know that a Mad Mike makes Mackie mic mixes monumentally macabre.

being owned by other seuss rhymers on this thread = depression.

Hey alan...if you happen to read this thread - did you write that "whatcha gonna say" tune? hehe...I am digging it..where do I get a cd with that full song on it? :)

Don't feel too badly - I have a distinct advantage - I have a three year old. I can recite from memory the entirety of the "B" book...
