I have a fostex MR8 that saves files into the wave format. Is there any way of me converting one of these to be read in Reaper ? I would like to be able to import mono single tracks into Reaper.

The manual, which you can download freely, tells you exactly what formats Reaper imports and exports.

Why don't you go look at it?

You could've just clicked Insert>>>Media File and then looked at the files Reaper will import in the drop down 'files of type' box. Reaper supports near enough all formats.

Or just dragged a file into the timeline to see what happened.

Would you recommend REAPER for professional productions in terms of easy to use and worth the money?

I figured it out , and am getting the hang of it all bit by bit . Read through the editing section of the manual and will read it again. Soon enough , the shell shock from all this stuff I am learning and relearning will wear off but for now I still have a real case of the stupids. At least I'm not the skateboarder going down a hill fast who just about dumped big time in front of me today. Here it is simply tolerating stupidity of newbies . Thanks for all the help . I have another question and what ever forums I am on , I try to help where I can as well.

By far the easiest way to do this is to drop and drag the file icon into an empty track.
