Has anyone had any experience with the iMic USB interface from Griffen Technology? Specifically with Win 98 SE and Cool Edit Pro 2.0.

This looks like an average USB consumer-grade soundcard. You'd probably be better off with an SB Audigy or similar.

Actually it's not a soundcard. It's a small and inexpensive ($35) USB adapter that has mic/line inputs and audio outputs from the PC.

Right, that's exactly what a soundcard does. This one just happens to be USB. I would imagine it to be in the same class as something like a soundblaster.
