Imac Recording Software?

Just got an Imac...had a toshiba laptop with Cakewalk software, unfortunately the cakewalk software is not compatible with Imac.

What Mac recording software is best for an Imac? Not a professional by any means...just messing around. Don't want to spend more than $100.

Also, this is for electric guitar. Have a M-Audio preamp as well.

Logic or ProTools LE work great with Macs. I would check ebay for used because you wont find much new for $100 thats worth a shit

I don't know what kind of inputs you're using, and if they're software-specific....

...but I originally got started on my iBook with Deck LE. I think it's actually $100 on the button, and has a bunch of mixing goodies (minimal effects).
