I couldnt sell my Telecaster on a few guitar forums, so I'm trying out Ebay for the first time ever. Maybe it will work, maybe not. I'm a little lost in the whole thing so we'll see I guess. Wish me luck,:)

That's a solid listing, no red flags. Your hit count is pretty good for 5 hours. Your price is low enough to attract bids.

However, you have made one mistake. Your title should read USA rather than US. Try a search on US Telecaster vs. USA Telecaster & you'll see what I mean. Revise your title to include both.

I am not 100% sure why you inages are not showing up, but rather are links. the coding looks good on the page...

Thats the correct coding. Yours looks just like it. However the source code shows this for some reason...

<P><
img src="<A href="https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v314/mikegossett/tele/tele1.jpg">https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v314/mikegossett/tele/tele1.jpg</A>
"></P>

Which leads me to believe that you possible hand coded this? <A href= of course makes text a hyper link.

Anyways...I have never had a problem with my img links not showing an image.

But not bad for your first outing. Good luck - thats a hell of an item to sell with zero feedback.

I shipped a stat one time and it cost me $35 to have delivery confirmation and $700 insurance.

Also...

Delivery confirmation is a MUST. If you do not have it then all the person has to say is that they never recieved the item and PayPal will fuck you harder than a jackhammer.

They fail to mention that to you. As they did me.

just some FYI

Hey mshilarious,

How do you find out how many hits an eBay ad has taken for a given time? Did not know you could find that stuff out.

There's a little LED-style counter right at the bottom of the auction (just above the shipping info). Some sellers choose not to include it, but it's usually there.

Thanks for the input guys.

About the pics, I did hand code it I guess, just did a copy paste from photobucket...butIt's been about 5 years since I touched HTML at all so I really can't remember a thing. Funny how it disappears from the brain when you quit using it.

I really have nothing else to sell first, and this wasnt selling on any forums. I guess we'll see how it goes. There are quite a few people"watching" it, so maybe that is good. Maybe it doesnt matter. I'm a total newb.

It matters! And it's a good thing. Any experienced E-bayer won't place a bid until the last few minutes of the auction. If a lot of people are watching, it's more than likely that some of them will bid.

Good Luck!!!
