I'm switching to Apple. Can I still use my Cubase project files on it?

Hello,

I currently have Windows 7 64 bit and run Cubase 5 on it. My computer has had a nasty history of being targeted by Trojans and malware, so I've decided to purchase a Macbook so I don't have to worry about viruses. I know Cubase 5 is also compatible with Apple computers, but can I continue using the same Cubase projects with my Macbook? If not, I will most likely back my projects up with WAV files.

Thanks,
Devin

Yeah, in theory it's supposed to work, but often there are bugs. I love Cubase but it's not perfect in this department.

Cheers :)

Um, there are other reasons why your computer is targeted by Trojans and Maleware. Maybe you should start there.

I have nothing else to say....

wait...one more, sigh...........

Yeah, Don't switch because your getting viruses. Macs are not virus free!

You must do a lot of "high risk" web activities or you possibly don't have enough/any security.

Edit: Almost forgot, the problems I always have switching computers is the VST instruments and third party plug-ins. It seams kind of hit and miss, I always end up having to do some work to get it right.

I personally have not had an issue. YMMV though.

Why on earth would you run a PC recording setup and have it online though? If I went windows I would not have it online unless I had to authorize something.
