For what it's worth, I've never made any. Nor bought any. Nor listened to any.
But it doesn't sound all that hard to produce....

Well the guitar sounds like the compression sucked all of the tone out of it. I'd try backing off the compression and/or dialing in some mid range and high end. Might want to back off the low end too.

It does have a tight/punchy sound (compression) but it would be totaly lost in a full mix. It's hard to destinguish in the section you posted.

I love to feel guitar as much as the next guy but it just doen't work outside of the bedroom. Thats what the bass and drums are for.
