OK, I'm an old techie, and I love my guitars. I know some folks want old analog, but I'm more of a digital guy.
My goal is to compose cool stuff. I have a few guitars, Ibanez Sabre and Ibanez Proline 1880, Fernandes Nomad, Ovation Acoustic/Electric, and an Alvarez Electric with a modulus graphite neck. I have an Epiphone Les Paul Studio in the works.
Effects: I have a nuber of Danelctro mini's that I don't really use, as well as a Zoom 505 II I don't do much with. I primarily use a Digitech RP2000 and I recently made a deal on a new Roland Gr-33 guitar synthesizer. There's another pedal or two in a box somewhere.
Amps: I own an old small Marshall Valvestate amp, good enough for monitoring. I use a Line 6 GuitarPort, and I'm thinking about getting either a Line 6 Pod or a Behringer V-Amp.
Software: I have ordered a legal copy of Acid Pro 4.0 bundle with Sound Forge 6. I have access to other software, including Reason 2.0
I have a couple of other items worth mentioning, a new Yamaha DD-55 electronic drum set and an old Casio keyboard I'll use as a midi station. I'm thinking about upgrading the soundcard I've got and maybe getting a modelling amplifier.
I'm a novice, but one blessed with a decent day job and an aptitude for technology.
So, am I off to a decent start?
