I currently own...

Digitech GSP 2101 Artist Pro
Digitech GSP 2101
Digitech RP12
Digitech GNX2
Boss OS2
2 different Morely Wahs

I'm not really into "Amp Modeling" stuff that much. I'd just like to try something new (as stated, I got it bad for a new effects processor)! I'm thinking TC Elec G-Major (the G-Force may be a little too rich for me but I'm not ruling that out), Yamaha DG-Stomp or maybe even something from Eventide.

I really enjoy Digitech products. If you take your time with them and tweak them properly I find them quite rewarding. But I'm just looking for something new.

Ok, I know you're all going to ask... "What do you play?". Mostly 70's and 80's hard rock, not much shredding going on in my world. I've got a nice Tele' with Rio Grande Pickups in it and a G&L Asat Special. I usually run them (processors) straight into my Mackie 1604 mixing board and record direct. I also play them throught a small solid state 2x12 Marshall Combo.

I'd like to keep it under $1000

Tell me what you like.

Thanks

For JUST EFFECTS you can't beat the Gnx2. I own the Gnx3. I believe the only difference is the on-board 8 track recorder. If you are using your midi and the Gnx software, settings are a breeze.

wait for the Boss GT8 which is already out in Japan ... it follows the GT-6 which got some very gooc and consisten reviews ... reference price for the gt-6 is 350-400 ...

so i guess the gt8 should be 400ish ... shop around and check out the opionos on harmony central

bye

I've seen a couple of GT-6s at eBay and the price seems right. I too have heard a lot of good things about them. But a GT8?. I'm gonna have to start taking a look around and see what the buzz is like on them.

Thanks

Go on eBay and find a used Roland GP-100. You should be able to find them for less than $300. Use the extra money to buy a good floor controller.

It's no longer in production but still beats the new units in terms of tone and flexibility. I've owned the Pod, J-station, GT-6, etc. This unit is heads and tails above them.
