I'm having a MIDI playback issue

I think my ASIO driver or sound card is having issues. when I press play in protools it randomly plays some of the notes I recorded on an instrument track with Reason.

know what to do?
 
is this via Rewire? I think the issue is the rewire support in Pro Tools.. especially if you have tempo changes happening. when I run Reaper in slave mode it goes bonkers and even crashes sometimes..
 
unfortunately nothing. you can try a different program as a slave such as Acid, that and Fruity Loops are the only programs that work stable as slaves for me.
 
it has worked before just fine. I reinstalled my operating system to get rid of whatever was slowing my computer down; and it doesn't work now but it was fine before.
