I'm getting my first mixer, need advice

I'm looking into getting a used Tascam MM-1 20 channel mixer.
I noticed that it has only 2 band eq's (highs, lows) on each channel.
I might get it used for $100. Good deal, right?
What do you think are the ups and downs of this mixer?

I have not used this exact board, but I know this class of consoles. If this is your first console, its $100 well spent. You will probably outgrow it in a year or so, but it should be a great starter. Just high and low EQ is a bit limiting, but that's OK, just use mic placement more than EQ and you will be fine until you learn the ropes and can make a better decision about a future console purchase.
 
The Soundcraft M-Series Pres are very nice and sound better than the new Makcie Onyx pres. You'll be very happy the Soundcraft.
