I downloaded Redhat Linux (658mb worth)iso image but don't know how to burn it onto a CD.

I burned it as Data and a second time as backup but all it does on both is put the iso file on the CD. Now what??

Thanks for any help!

I don't know what software your using, but in Adaptec EZCD Creator, you have to "create CD from Disk Image". Otherwise your just moving the ISO file on a new CD.

I'm using Write2CD and am using a Philips CDRW400 burner. I don't think I have that option but I will double check to be sure. Do you know of a freeware program that will do that?

Check out something called Nero. http://www.ahead.de/

It will do ISO images in different forms. You can download a full functioning demo version that expires after a certain date ( ahem..which is easy to get around... cough, cough) and the registered version is only like $65 US.
