I'm just starting out and I want to record my buddy and I jamming. He a drummer and I'm on the keyboard.

What is the easiest way to record us playing at the same time using a computer.

Well you didnt give much info on what you have but you need a mixer at least four mics for the drums and some multitrack software. If you could give us more info on what you have then you can get a more specific answer.

To record drums & kbd minimalistic, you need 2 mics for the drums and you can line out of your keyboard. So you'll need a soundcard with 4 inputs minimum and a mixer to preamp the mics.
A soundcard like the delta 44 and a Yamaha mixer will cost you around $250. Mics will cost what you're prepared to pay
