IK mutlimedia's ARC system (any good?)

hey guys, was just looking at the ARC system by IK. It seems to tune your room out of the mix using many measures on different points in your room.

Has anyone used it and found it effective?

also, does it give you any help in tuning your room (showing you spots with excessive flutter, loss of bass)? Or does it just remove excessive bass and highs found in the measurements?
 
A friend of mine has it. Its....I don't know. I didn't really like it. Seems to take away all life from monitors. Maybe that's the way is suppose to be, but for me, I didn't like it.
 
Generally positive review in the newest issue of Recording mag. Not seen as a total fix but as a useful aid in certain situations.
