...persuing an interest, job, career, hobby in music what would you've liked to have gone into....
For me it'd either be something in comedy, porn or something in the 'village idiot' scheme of things....Hell mabey all three, a funny pornographic idiot...

I'm taking the steps towards lawyerdom. Did surprisingly well on the LSAT, now I'm getting my referces lined up. I'll be the uncivilized beast at law lschool.....

Anyways..... I wish I could start fresh, and stick with the drums.......

I feel my drumming is ok... Im in 2 bands with very decent musicians, and no one complains about my skills......

But if I was 15 again.. I would get rid of the keys, guitar, and just concentrate on the drums.....

Shit... If I did that.. I would be like Neil Peart or something by now....:(
 
I wouldnt mind building this stuff, but unless you have a gang of degrees in electronics and get in as a designer or engineer..... I would be stuck soldering capacitors for $6.00 an hour.
 
Had I finished college in time, I wanted to be a fighter pilot. It's the only thing I've ever really wanted to do. But that option was closed off to me a number of years ago.

Now, I'm just sort of content to have a job at all considering the job market right now.

Still brings a tear to me eye when I see a flight of '15's go over the building on their way into Lambert International knowing that I could have done that at one time. The closest I ever got to dogfighting was the aerobatics courses I took several years ago at Scott AFB Aero Club. Hard to dogfight though with no opponent and no guns.
 
I heard a stunning fact on the news a day or two ago. We had just wrapped up a festive air show here in town and the news dude was telling us all about the legendary "Blue Angels". It seems that those boys are so skilled that they can fly those puppies a mere 12 inches apart, side by side, at 200mph. I knew they got close but 12 inches!? Christ, every guy with a web cam boasts 12 inches...... can you fathom?

12" is a bit of an exageration. It's more like 24" to 30". Still pretty damn close. It looks alot closer from the ground. At 12 inches there is absolutely no margin for error. There is also wing-wash, jet blast, and wake turbulence to consider during the manuvers.

I've done some formation flying going to and from Fly-In's, but nothing ever that close. 20 to 30 feet is more like it and that looks damn close when you're flying the next airplane.

In my heart, I've always wanted to do this.
In my head, I knew being a musician pretty much guaranteed you a life of poverty and obscurity.
So while in college, I did a 180 and changed majors from art to science.
When I tell people I have a degree in engineering, and a minor in music, it raises more than a few eyebrows.
