i hooked up my setup a different way and i dont know what to do?

i am running protools with a digi 001
i have a 14 channel mixer
what i did was hook up all 8 outputs of the digi into the mixer and assigned an output to each track in the program so i could be mixing in my mixer...so i have it the way i want it to sound..

but how do i get it back into the box?
i tried making two new tracks in protools and plugging in the left input into one and the right in another one but all it did was give me feedback!!!

im pretty sure that you are supposed to use the "buses" in protools but how the heck do i set it up?
can any of you guys tell me how you are doing it?
or tell me what i should do?
thanks

well, you're going to get feedback because it's returning right back into the mixer.
You either need to set the output in Pro Tools on the new track to "No Output" or find somewhere on the mixer where you can send your audio audio back into so that it will play through the speakers when you record but NOT go out the main outputs....(assuming you're plugging your speakers into the ctrl room outs and the main outs into the 001)
