An old friend of mine contacted me about a collaboration. He writes songs and wants me to record them pretty much
. So he sent me mp3's of himself playing these songs-I learned them and recorded them. Here is song #1. I first sent him a mix with no vocals but added some so he could hear a semi-final product. I will beg him on my deatbed to get someone else to sing this, but it is nice to have a finished song for a change. The song is really simple so I kept the production simple-no overdubs and I didn't go crazy with plugins. I did run the mix through a compressor+tape sim on the master channel and through the vintage warmer after that so it might be a bit fuzzy. Drummers feel free to tell me how crappy the drums sound, i'm going through a crisis with the addictive drums plugin. Thanks for listening.
