Now,are you gonna help get this crook outta my neck since I been jerking it.I don't think its good to say a guys neck is jerkin.Neck jerkin is for the women nowadays;)

Wooooo! Damn! That main vocal sample is just too sweet!

Yeah, I was about to use that sample like two years ago, but I don't really mess with samples that much, I'm glad I left it alone.
You did an ill job with it.

Can't wait to hear you spit on that,
.... sounds like a solo joint to me.

drum track............tight
bassline.............killin' 'em

usin' my ghetto scale:

Struggles and Scars=5 Heinekens(on a scale of 1-5 Heine's)

....................one................

oh yeah..........I broke my fuckin' neck!!!!!!!!

Shhh,I'm gonna steal that

jus kidding guy.sounded good.I'll flow to that....Got some more fiya in that dungeon of urs......1
But,It sounds good but your thump bass was going a tad bit fast for a laidback track like that..Mellow out yo bass kick and change your snare to a snap and you workin with pure fiya.............1

Mannish,

Why you gotta be tellin everybody where it came from and sh*t:D

You keep that to yourself ya know! Dont be a "sample-snitch".

Also, I chose to use a more mellow snare because the more snappy snares are usually for more bouncy beats and I wanted this to be a more mellow track, therefore the snare doesn't strike the ears with the same energy as a more "snappy" or crisp snare. I don't know how many of you will know what the hell I'm talkin about...........

Peace!!!!!!!!

I fixed it.I deleted that post where I stated where the sample came from. Now thats all I need to know is..............What the hell is you talkin about..hehe......1-love

What I'm talkin bout is(I'll try not to get too technical wit it:D )

The more crisp snare drums are the ones I use for more jumpy-jumpy beats that would make you get amped, and the more mellow snares(usually run through a low-pass filter) are what I use for more mellow beats like the "Struggles and Scars".

Now I think I may have misunderstood what you meant when you said change to a snap. I think you meant a more snappy(louder crispier) snare than the one used. You could have been refering to an actual snap sound(like a person snapping their fingers) which is also used by some producers for R&B beats and more mellowed-out hiphop productions.

Let me know what you meant!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S.
And about the sample snitch thing........

Lets say you made a bangin beat sampling....say.....the beetles.
And I said in a post "Nice beetles sample son!!!".

Next thing you know you got like 15 other n*ggaz up here listening to the same song tryin ta make a beat like yours cuz they thought it was hot!!!! Then maybe they get a production deal on your creativity and you hear your "re-made" beat on the radio getting rapped over by some corny a** kid talkin about stupid sh*t you never would done.(Maybe its just me, but I zone out at times and imagine ill shit like this)

He'res a lil technical speaking for the technician that is tech savvy with the beatmaking -ATTILAH- (like that intro)*wink*...(where's my smilies).

I thought/think you were talkin about your snares. That is a nice lil mellow track and your snare overrides the mellowness.Lets the mellowness flow.let a nice lil soft snare ride along with the beat.Hold up,We're mellow and cruising so why is the kikk thump leaving us.Let them boys all ride together on a fantastic voyage. That beat has potential son........1

Come on now son.I know exactly how the game goes...I thought about it and deleted that posts.Thats a cardinal rule in this game we in.Never reveal your source...We pimpin baby...Its deleted....1

Word!!!!!!!!!!!

What imma do is go back to initial mix and replace the snare sample and lower the subbass boost i put on the bass drum. Thought that subbass boost would let it thump in some cars and shit but being stupid i forgot one of the main priciples of mixing, never mix something so that it sound like you want it sound ona particular system. It should sound flat in the mix because when you do hear it in clubs and cars they already have it going through some EQ!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man, you a fool for this beat (thats good by the way) you murdered that sample (pounding my head like why didnt i think of this one) good work dont sweat the mixing keep making that heat!!!!!
