will I need a microphone and which is best for under $59.95?

No, you could record them into a notebook, or maybe a word processor. That's what I do.

You can also use a car speaker and hook it up to your laptop mic in jack.
6x9's work best. If you do a search you will see that Behringer does not yet make car audio products but when they finally do, that will be the best brand to get.

Make sure you get their 'pro' series. Anything else is manufactured for amateurs.

u do need one

u definetly need one if you want decsent vocals, u should buy a shure sm57 there like 90 dollars not too much

Don't buy into this hype about microphones, you don't need them.

wire two rice krispies microphones in parallell to a dictaphone and you have a system that will rival ANY.

you only need 13.68 for this.

Ive been gettin a pretty good sound by runnin two potatoes, I record in stereo, into a carboard box.

Whatever you do stay away from digital... AuGratin for that warm buttery sound...

i stick the 1/4" jack in my ear (or use a stereo splitter for both).. then up the gain on your amp and it can sense the vibration of your skull...

if you want more treble, try one up your nose,

im not gonna tell ya where to put it for more bass

use a tin can put a hole in it and some string hooked to your recorder :p

Use you left nostril. If you use your right, it will lead to phase problems.

90 dollars is way too much for any mic. I mean, you can easily get by without one so why spend the money. I would go the DIY route and save some money.

that's only if they're spaced 3x farther apart than they are from the source. otherwise, you need a nose hair comb filter.

Just yell really loudly anytime you want someone to hear your voice.

Or yell really loud inside your head and record it on your subconsious then it will all come out in a printout when you pay for those 25 cent bio feedback machines in walmart!

Dude, c'mon, the nostril? Might as well use a tewb pre!

The only way to get a decent vocal DI is via a tracheotomy.

but if you have a deviated septum, it sort of sounds like a plate reverb with a touch of compression. sort of like the behringer mdx1600 but without the amazing clarity and tight bass.

Berhinger actually did make an aural exciter for your car sound systm, it was discontinued about three years.
