I'm gonna ask a dumb question...I'm kinda interested in firewire recording systems but I don't believe my new 512/100gig HP laptop has such a connection? Does it? And if not....am I fucked Firewire-wize...or is there an easy solution? Thank You
You can use your PCIMIA slot on your laptop... it's the big slot on the left side. There are usb 2.0 card/firewire cards/etc. and as long as that slot is not malfunctioning it should work fine. The problem with me is that it has been malfunctioning. Anyways, don't go spend 60 bucks on a firewire card from a real store. I got mine for 99 cents on ebay... check it out:
