I brought a 'Focusrite Platenham Trackmaster' as an adition to my Tascam DP-01FX.

I wanted a seperate compressor and I must say that this does the job beautifully.

I am so glad I brought this Focusrite Platenham. I brought the first issue which was reduced from £150 but I got it for £135 in Digital Village in East London.

Fantastic compressor, plus XLR lead for phantom power plus an excellent Tube sound emulator and a brillant EQ , really gives a nice body to the sound.

Here is a direct link to the item,:

I could'nt reccomend it more and there are some some excellent reviews on this item.

Far better the the Bergringer Preamp Micc 200 .

Plus there is abosolutly no hums or noise, really impressed.

I am using an unbalenced lead to put in the output section of my Focusrite machine to go into the Tascam DP-FX line in.

On the back of the Focusrite Trackmaster there is also another output line which reads 'balcaced' , I was wondering if I can use a balanced lead to connect to the DP-01FX or will it damage the signal as the Focusrite already has a good preamp in it?
