It would be cool if people made finished songs, and then mixed them down minus one element (i.e. bass line) and made an mp3, and then the songs were posted in some sort of directory that sorted them by styles.
then other musicians could import the mp3s as a track in there recording software and finish the song however they see fit. then the finished tracks could be made available by the second artist so people could see what they've done. I think it would be a great educationar resource, though perhaps more geared towards musicianship than recording technique.
I'm not much in the way of a songwriter,but i could contribute perhaps in the creation of the site to gather the songs at. if anyone has any interest in this project possibly coming to fruition, let me know.
