glad yall enjoyed that..

Crawdad, he told me the neve is too much. that for about 475 bucks you can get the FMR RNP, its class A and gets it done as well.

It might. I've heard good things about the RNP, but does it have "that" sound. This recording has "it" whatever "it" is to my ear. Now, if anybody has a Neve and a RNP they want to lend me to compare. :D Either way, whether its $475 or $1000 for a Great River, its a lotta bread for me right now. Ah, but that was a great sound.

hey, I thought you said this tune had vocals. The version I heard didn't. Just curious.

Kramer, I asked him about the mics and effects, so this is what he said...

"I used a neve mic pre and a neuman km84 on the acoustics, and it's my adk T-51 tube mic through the neve pre on the vocal. The harp was recorded with the mackie mic pre and the electric slide was recorded direct through my old bassman head using a palmer DI. What you are hearing is not the final mix just my rough. I did those bluse pieces for xxxxxxxx library....they are supposed to get mixed very soon."


another tune he sent me had vocals on it, jus not this one..
 
Ah! I figured something like that. Just wanted to make sure I hadn't completely lost my mind! "Oh, sure, crawdad--theres vocals on this. Can't you HEAR them!:D BAAAAA HA HA HA HA!"
 
that was outstanding! no comments but that. nothing to fix or change from what i hear. not that you were looking for feedback that i couldn't really give anyway. i just loved that.

Lol, there`s been some really funny responses to this. He is quite a picker. This and the other one was recorded at his house. If you ever watch that show Nashville Star check out the theme song, he wrote, picked, and produced it, theres some tastefull stuff in that one too.
I`m not gonna post any more in this thread so it can get the hell out of the way for the other folks. I just wanted to say I thought sharing it with yall would be fun and I`m glad yall liked it.

....nice man. The harp sounds great........ guits are nice too. This sounds a bit like the theme song from Rosanne. Dtb's banjo work would sit nicely on this. Cool one man:)
