Churches for sale aren't a dime a dozen, but if you find one that's moving out, buying it wouldn't be much different than buying a house. If you can do it, 'twould be sweet. I saw amazing pics of a church converted into a top-notch studio somewhere. They described the process of doing it too, I'll try and find that link.

If it has a baptismal, turn it into a vocal booth, might have some nice natural reverb to it, and keep the choir section... you never know when you'll need backup singers.

No offense taken, and keep laughing. I wasn't even the one who originally mentioned the word tank in this thread, and that is a funny picture that you derived from the term. 
I do assure you though, that it is most commonly referred to as a baptismal tank. I won't deny that Catholics might call it a baptismal font, and throw in the words sacrament and catechumens for good measure, but having grown up in several protestant churches, I have never heard that term, and always heard it as a baptismal tank. If you google "baptismal tank" it'll confirm that at least in Protestant circles, that is the most common term.
