I really like this software and was hoping to invest in a tower that would help me maximize the amount of tracks I could record. Any suggestions on towers or components?

The software takes up almost no space at all. What you need space for is the audio files that you record and mix - they take up a humongous amount of disk space. One thing that many people do is get a machine with two drives, and dedicate the second drive only to record and store audio files. It's a really good idea. Get drives that are as big as you can.
As for the rest of the machine, get one that has as fast a processor and which has as much RAM as you can afford.

Ideally for audio, you want a machine that can move the greatest amount of information at the same time. Look for fast bus speeds, buy lots of RAM and make sure your hard drives are name brand and spin at atleast 7200rpm. Look fir SATA. The cables are smaller (better cooling) and faster than IDE. Get a decent video card. It really does help a WHOLE lot in releiving processor strain. Last... get a decent processor but don't spend all your money on having the latest-and-greatest. In the end, the minimal extra power isn't worth it. The money is better spent on other things(drugs?
