i visited the alembic store in LA years ago and tried to play one of their 6 string basses. the neck on that sucker was about 5 inches wide! but what craftmanship! awesome guitars!
 
Yup deel...they are the best.

I owned a Stanley Clark short scale signature
model in the late seventies early eighties.
I sold it to get my first eight track tape machine. <bent over...kick me in ass>
