I want a white 12 string acoustic

Do they exist?! I found 1 on ebay once, thats it. I really want a 12 string that's WHITE! That'd be so cool. Does anyone know of anywhere I could find one? Is there anyway to make a guitar white and not have it look terrible? I'm up to any ideas. Thanks! Happy New Year!
 
You don't say whether you want an electric or acoustic, so I presume you mean an acoustic. There are none that I know of, but I could be wrong. Daisyrock make a beautiful, hollow-body, electric twelve-string in white, though, and it is very reasonably priced. (see pic attached, details at www.daisyrock.com)

As for painting an acoustic guitar white - I certainly wouldn't do it. It's not so much the look as the sound. I presume the amount of paint needed to give a consistent colour would be quite thick, thereby reducing soundboard vibration. Light or Muttley will be able to tell you whether or not you can do it successfully, but my guess is no.

For whatever my opinion is worth, I'd say how the 12 string sounds is more important than how it looks. I've seen some great-looking 12-strings that sounded terrible and some that had a very ordinary appearance that sounded heavenly.
My belief is that any guitar marketing/advertising that focuses on visual appeal means the guitar sounds horrible.

That said, if you're looking for an acoustic or an acoustic-electric 12-string in white, you might check Washburn or Takamine. I know some of their a/e models used to be available with a white finish.
 
I've always wanted a white acoustic too. I think it'd be cool.

But they seem to be few and far between. I don't know how much it would cost to have a professional do it, or if they even would.

Maybe one of the experts here can help you out.

I had a white Alvarez DY-88 for awhile...pretty good stage acoustic and you could get them as a DY-88-12.......abalone binding.....cool. They made 'em in black, white, and a few other colors.
 
I don't think I will ever own a white guitar...
...I'm too lazy to clean them often enough ;)
