Thanks all for the time to listen in...I think I've come across some old names too!!!
Thanx
TR for the listen...I'm glad you enjoyed it. That is the best thing to me about music...transfering of feeling and emotion to another person. Music rules.
Hello again Mr.
Emeric, glad to meet you again. You must be refering to "Flame War,"...my whimsical interpretation of BB altercations. He...I still have that kicking around somewhere.
Thank you for the compliment.
That I will and many thanks for your ears.
Hiya
GT! Errrr

, thorry about the dissappearance. I was ah...errr....um...busy???? <hiding bong behind back> I'll never do it again. PROMISE!
mixmkr, thanks for your indepth feelings on this tune, I appreciate it...
It's too bad the drums are so obviously canned though, as the programming is really realistic and good.
I know it's going to sound a bit cliche', but would you believe we meant to do that???

robot voice + canned drum track = good.
the vocals are a little on the munchkin side for me, and hit me kinda almost bizarre when they first come in at :21...like bordering on intonation problems. As the song progresses, I can accept them more.
Well, I am a munchkin of sorts (5' 3") and your not the first person to say my voice is weird and almost problematic tonally. I have found my voice is a love it or hate it kinda thing. I come to accept that some will distain my vox. There are VERY few in the middle.
the guitar playing is good and some nice parts, leads..etc. but suffers from a direct kind of sound too...being almost too thin sounding.
Well again, the message was meant to be informally technology meets emotion...robots and canned sound meets dunkin' munchkin ric. What direction would you have taken the production to accomplish that goal?
...
but suffer from that home-reccors syndrome of drum machines with fake cymbals, synthetic instrument sounds and the like.
Well, I guess from your perspective our sound was missing the mark. But I assure you, it is exactly how we intended it. That "fake" sound does conjur up certain feelings, and my distinctly odd vox we believe was a fitting counterpoint for the obvious "machine" presentation. You do have a good ear...
Hello
Queue
thanks for your time to listen in...
are those vocals real? or is there some pitch shifting going on there...?
Well, the robot sound is from a vocoder. The lead vocals are my natural voice...no pitch shifting. Some live doubling though.
Great to be back around, hope to listen to some great tunes. Feel free to post here, or I'll lurk around and see what's around.
GT, your post made me piss my pants!!
Nite nite all...
